For final-year students and recent graduates looking for a structured way to assess their corporate readiness, the Corporate Entrance Test (CET) is a national-level assessment designed for candidates across India.

Organized by Startup Times, CET is built around the idea of giving candidates a measurable assessment of their corporate readiness through a national examination, followed by further stages for shortlisted candidates.

The journey goes beyond the examination itself. Candidates can progress from the written assessment to a National Rank and Corporate Readiness Report, virtual interviews, the Corporate Launch Program and employer evaluation. The highest-performing candidates can then compete for the CET Global 20 and a fully sponsored Dubai Global Experience.

How CET Works

The CET 2027 process begins with an online written examination scheduled for January 31, 2027.

The examination consists of 80 questions across four sections, with a total duration of one hour. Each section contains 20 questions and carries equal weightage.

The four sections are Quantitative & Logical Reasoning, Verbal & Communication Ability, Workplace Judgment & Situational Reasoning, and General Business & Corporate Awareness.

The examination follows a marking system of +1 for a correct answer and −1/3 for an incorrect answer.

After the examination, every candidate receives a National Rank and percentile, along with a personalized Corporate Readiness Report highlighting strengths and areas for growth. Candidates also receive a shareable digital Rank Card.

From National Rank to Virtual Interviews

The examination is followed by the virtual interview stage for shortlisted candidates. For CET 2027, these interviews are scheduled between March 1 and March 31, 2027.

The selection process for the final 1,000 candidates combines performance in the written examination and the interview. The published structure assigns 60% to the Written Examination Score and 40% to Interview Performance for the shortlist evaluation.

The final list of 1,000 selected candidates is scheduled to be announced on April 15, 2027.

The Corporate Launch Program

For the selected 1,000 candidates, the next stage is the Corporate Launch Program, a three-month, fully online training and mentorship program scheduled to run from June 1 to August 31, 2027.

The program is designed to help candidates move from being graduates to becoming more prepared for the corporate environment. Its curriculum covers areas such as professional communication and business writing, resume building and personal branding, corporate etiquette and workplace behaviour, digital and business tools, sales and negotiation, interview and group discussion practice, domain foundations, live projects and case studies, and a final capstone evaluation.

The program is delivered online through live sessions, recorded modules and mentor office hours. Candidates also receive ongoing guidance and participate in continuous evaluation throughout the program.

Employer Evaluation and Career Opportunities

A key part of the Corporate Launch Program is its connection with CET's stated network of 350+ employers.

The network spans areas including IT and Consulting, BFSI, Manufacturing and Core, Marketing and Media, Operations and Supply Chain, and High-Growth Startups.

Throughout the program, candidates are evaluated by participating employers. The program information also states that candidates can receive a Training Certificate and a formal Internship Certificate, while candidates may have opportunities to be considered for job offers from participating employers.

This makes the Corporate Launch Program more than a classroom-based training experience. Candidates have opportunities to apply what they learn through projects, case studies, evaluations and employer-facing activities.

The CET Global 20: From Corporate Training to Global Exposure

For candidates who perform at the highest level during the Corporate Launch Program, the journey can extend beyond India.

The CET Global 20 offers the top 20 performers a fully sponsored, 5-night, 6-day Dubai Global Experience.

The experience is designed around international business exposure and includes opportunities such as corporate visits, interactions with global industry leaders, interactive workshops, cultural experiences and networking with peers, mentors and industry professionals.

The Dubai opportunity comes after the Corporate Launch Program. The entrance examination determines progression into the program, while the Top 20 are selected based on performance during the Corporate Launch Program and the applicable employer evaluations.
