iGowise and Patnaik Energy Group Launch 5,000 Portable EV Power Banks, Backed by $1 Million Seed Funding

In a strategic move set to reshape the electric mobility landscape, iGowise, a deep-tech mobility startup, has joined hands with Patnaik Energy Group (PEG) to launch 5,000 portable EV power banks. Backed by $1 million in seed funding, the partnership will initially focus on deployment in Hyderabad and Bangalore, offering a powerful, mobile solution to the growing demand for flexible energy access.

These power banks are not just meant for electric vehicles—they are designed to serve a wide array of use cases including electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, fixed-battery EVs, drones, agricultural machinery, and even wilderness lighting systems. Built with a vision to support both urban and remote regions, the power banks promise to deliver on-demand, app-based charging, making energy access simpler, faster, and more reliable.

Designed with advanced battery technologies such as Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP), and Lithium Titanium Oxide (LTO), each unit is packed with an AI-powered battery management system (BMS) and features advanced cooling and safety systems. These components ensure the power banks are stable, safe, and long-lasting—even under intense or variable environmental conditions.

Customers can use a mobile app to locate, book, and pay for these power banks. Alternatively, users can take advantage of scan-and-use QR codes embedded at deployment points, making the process seamless. The service will follow a hybrid model, offering lease-based solutions for frequent or commercial users and pay-per-use options for occasional or emergency needs.

According to Sravan Kumar, CEO of iGowise, the partnership is built around solving India’s specific mobility challenges. “At iGo, we believe in designing contextual solutions. Our smart tilting trikes are perfectly suited to deliver these power banks safely and efficiently—even through crowded city roads or into rugged terrain. This is more than just innovation—it’s infrastructure for a new kind of energy ecosystem.”

The power banks will be deployed in a variety of locations—urban high-rises, commercial complexes, logistics hubs, and remote areas where conventional charging stations are impractical or unavailable. The initiative is a key example of the Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) model, where power becomes a portable, user-centric utility rather than a static grid-tied offering.

Sambit Patnaik, Founder and Director at Patnaik Energy Group and RapidE Power, sees the collaboration as a leap forward for universal energy access. “We’ve already proven the viability of battery swapping. Now, it’s time to go beyond—supporting fixed-battery EVs, drones, remote research, and more. With iGowise’s mobility expertise and our energy systems, we can deliver high-quality, flexible charging wherever it’s needed.”

The rollout will begin with 1,000 power banks in the first year in Hyderabad and Bangalore, with the remaining 4,000 to be deployed over the following 18 months. This phased approach allows for real-time optimization and local adaptation before scaling nationally and globally.

Looking ahead, the partnership aims to expand internationally, targeting emerging EV markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, and parts of Europe. The goal is to form alliances with EV manufacturers, 3PL companies, drone operators, and last-mile logistics firms, making mobile energy a practical reality worldwide.

As electric mobility continues to accelerate, the lack of accessible and flexible charging remains a major bottleneck. By merging next-gen battery tech with on-the-go delivery infrastructure, iGowise and PEG are creating an ecosystem where energy is always within reach—clean, mobile, and on demand. This initiative marks a major step toward more inclusive, adaptable, and sustainable energy solutions for India and beyond.
