Ayodhya Softech: Shaping Innovation with VR, Research, and Rural Impact

Ayodhya Softech is exploring VR, research, and rural outreach to build practical technology solutions while empowering communities and driving innovation.

In India’s growing startup ecosystem, many companies follow familiar paths. Ayodhya Softech has taken a different route by focusing on building original software products rather than replicating existing ideas. Founded in January last year, the company works across Virtual Reality (VR), scientific research, and digital transformation, with the intention of creating practical, thoughtful technology.

Rather than chasing trends, Ayodhya Softech focuses on experimenting, learning, and applying technology in ways that add real value. The team believes innovation is less about speed and more about understanding how people actually use technology.

The company is led by Aagastya Biradar (Co-Founder & CEO) and Ganesh Kendre (Co-Founder & CFO), along with partner Avinash M., who supports operations and strategy. Together, they combine technical curiosity, research thinking, and execution to shape the company’s direction.

Early Curiosity That Turned Into Entrepreneurship

For Aagastya Biradar, building things came naturally long before he understood the idea of startups. Growing up in Uttarakhand, he explored small projects out of curiosity — selling temporary tattoos, helping with local news reporting, catering food, and even trading stones. These early efforts helped him understand how ideas, people, and effort come together.

As he moved through school, those experiments became more structured. By grade five, he was organizing peer groups of nearly eighty students. In grades seven and eight, he taught Blender and Python on Discord to over 150 students. Later, he designed a Python course for ninth-grade classmates, enrolling more than thirty students.

Outside academics, Aagastya was active in leadership and competitions. His team placed in the Top 100 at Youth Ideathon 2022 out of 62,000 participants, which led to invitations to IIT Delhi and The Bishop’s Shark Tank. In debate, his team won the National Championship at the AWWA Ethics Bowl 2023.

Alongside technology, he explores music and writing, sharing ideas on LinkedIn and his website aagastya.com. Today, while preparing for NEET and Grade 12 boards, the 17-year-old founder balances school life with building a growing technology venture.

Research Experience at the Core

Complementing Aagastya’s entrepreneurial energy is Ganesh Kendre, Co-Founder and CFO. A graduate in psychology and computer science from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Ganesh brings a research-oriented approach to the business.

He currently works as a Research Assistant at the Innovation and Aging Lab at UBC, using VR, robotics, and mobile applications to support people with dementia. His role includes designing VR experiences, filming research material, and contributing to indigenous VR development.

One of his projects — a VR drum-playing game for IDEA Lab — was later published in research on VR use for older adults. It was presented at conferences such as AgeWell and CAG Montreal, where it received the Most Innovative Award.

Before research, Ganesh also worked as a Director in a fire safety company in India, managing projects close to $5 million. This mix of research, psychology, and operational experience supports Ayodhya Softech’s balanced approach to building products.

How the Team Came Together

Ayodhya Softech did not start with a single product idea. Instead, it began with shared interest. A VR headset, a researcher-investor, a programmer-entrepreneur, and operational support from Avinash M. gradually aligned.

The team saw potential in Virtual Reality beyond gaming and decided to explore it as a serious development space.

They hired developers and game designers while taking leadership roles themselves. Rather than copying existing formats, the team focused on experimenting with original concepts and testing what actually works in real environments.

Approaching VR Differently

In India, VR is often used to recreate familiar games or visuals. Ayodhya Softech tries to move beyond that by building experiences around logic, psychology, and user behavior.

One example is Colour Combine Shooter, a VR game that asks players to combine colors strategically instead of relying only on reaction speed. Another experiment, PsychedelicXR (PsychXR), explores visual perception and altered-state experiences inside VR.

The company also works in healthcare and research technology. Projects such as PatientConnect and Dementia VR use AI and immersive tools to support patient management and therapeutic processes.

Their research program, ATSY, focuses on how communities interact with new technology. In rural India, the team worked with 70 first-time VR users and later trained over 250 students in AI tools, English learning through technology, and professional development using platforms like LinkedIn.

Beyond VR Development

While VR is a key area, Ayodhya Softech operates as a broader software partner. Their work includes:

  • VR game and experience development

  • Website design and management systems

  • AI-based patient and business software

  • Social media content and PR assets

  • Research-driven experiments

  • Digital strategy for businesses and public entities

The company’s focus remains on building technology that is practical and usable, not just visually impressive.

Managing Early-Stage Challenges

Like most young companies, Ayodhya Softech has faced operational challenges. Finding skilled developers takes time, and managing projects with a small team of three requires careful planning.

The founders also balance academics, research commitments, and daily execution.

Instead of pushing for fast growth, the team prioritizes sustainability, structure, and learning from each stage before moving forward.

Rural Outreach and Research

One meaningful milestone for Ayodhya Softech was its outreach in rural Maharashtra. The team studied how people adopt technology and conducted learning sessions for 250 students aged 16 to 21.

Using AI tools as language tutors, students improved English communication and learned how to apply technology to job searches and professional development.

For the team, this initiative showed how software can support education and confidence, not just automation.

Looking Ahead

Ayodhya Softech plans to expand its team and continue exploring areas such as advanced VR, 4D experiences, and business software platforms.

The company is also developing its PR and digital communications segment while continuing research through future editions of ATSY.

Their focus remains on relevance — building technology that fits real needs while allowing space for experimentation.

Advice from the Founders

The founders emphasize financial clarity in early-stage businesses. Tracking expenses, avoiding unnecessary costs, and understanding cash flow help startups survive longer.

They also encourage experimentation. Progress often comes from testing ideas carefully and learning from both success and failure.

Closing Note

Ayodhya Softech reflects a growing group of Indian startups that combine research, creativity, and practical impact.

With a young founder balancing education and entrepreneurship, partners bringing research depth and operational structure, and a focus on community outreach, the company continues to shape its path thoughtfully.

Rather than rushing toward scale, Ayodhya Softech is learning, building, and adapting — one project at a time.
