Linganand S. Kotabagi: From Values-Driven Education to Building Our Thoughts LSKJ on Purpose

A values-driven IT leader turning patience, purpose, and people-first culture into a philosophy-led company focused on growth and impact.

In today’s startup ecosystem, success is often measured in funding rounds, valuations, and speed to market. But for Linganand S. Kotabagi, founder of Our Thoughts LSKJ, entrepreneurship is rooted in something far deeper — values, originality, patience, and service to society.

With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, Linganand’s journey reflects not only professional growth, but personal evolution shaped by history, ethics, resilience, and a strong sense of patriotism. His venture, Our Thoughts LSKJ, is not just a company — it is a philosophy-driven platform where employees are treated as members, ideas are respected, and work is dedicated to something larger than profit.

To understand his vision, Linganand prefers to divide his story into two parts:
Education and Career, and Owner of Company – Our Thoughts LSKJ.

Part 1: Education and Career – The Foundation of a Thoughtful Leader

Learning from History and Humanity

From his school days, Linganand was deeply influenced by stories of great leaders and freedom fighters who challenged circumstances to achieve meaningful goals. Reading history was not just academic for him — it became a guidebook for life. He began following the footsteps of individuals who chose purpose over comfort and courage over fear.

Alongside this, his upbringing emphasized kindness, loyalty, truthfulness, hard work, and helping others. These values were not theoretical lessons, but daily practices that shaped how he approached people, work, and responsibility.

One defining moment came during college. Unexpectedly, Linganand was elected as the Class Representative (CR), defeating a popular and well-known candidate — despite being relatively unknown himself. Without prior planning, he relied purely on his inner capability and presence of mind. That experience revealed something powerful: hidden talent exists within everyone, but it needs the right environment to be nurtured.

Early Career Struggles and Life Lessons

Linganand’s professional journey began with perseverance. In his initial job search, he faced repeated rejections, often reaching the final interview round only to be rejected due to internal politics. Instead of giving up, he adopted a principle that still guides him today: keep trying and never give up.

Coming from a middle-class family from a small town, he learned another important discipline — living within one’s means. When he came to Bengaluru searching for opportunities, his father provided limited financial support for the entire month. This taught Linganand to prioritize savings over unnecessary expenditure, a habit that later helped him manage both personal and business finances responsibly.

Another lesson he embraced early was helping others is like helping yourself. Even after starting to earn, Linganand made it a habit to donate part of his salary to those in need — whether it was the sick, orphans, elderly people, or underprivileged communities. This mindset of sharing became an inseparable part of his life and leadership style.

Patience Over Anger

One of the most testing moments came in his first company. A colleague attempted to sabotage his role in a project with the intention of getting him removed. Instead of reacting with anger, Linganand chose patience. He took time to understand the situation, rebuilt his strategy, and delivered results so impactful that it surprised the entire management team.

From this experience, he learned a lasting principle: patience is wisdom, while anger damages the soul.

Over the years, working with organizations such as Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Sonata, and Dell, across domains like Banking, Telecom, Healthcare, and Finance, Linganand evolved from developer to leader. Yet beyond titles, what truly grew was his belief that work must combine skill with conscience.

Part 2: Owner of Company – Building Our Thoughts LSKJ

Don’t Follow the Crowd, Let the Crowd Follow You

When Linganand founded Our Thoughts LSKJ, his goal was not to replicate what already existed. He believed in one principle: don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you.

Instead of traditional corporate hierarchy, Our Thoughts LSKJ became one of the first ventures to treat every employee as an equal member of the organization. Employees are not just workers; they are contributors, innovators, and decision participants.

The company culture encourages ownership, creativity, and responsibility rather than obedience and repetition.

Giving Everyone a Chance

Another belief Linganand lives by is “Every dog has his day.” Everyone deserves an opportunity. At Our Thoughts LSKJ, candidates are rarely rejected and employees are never terminated without purpose. The company focuses on helping individuals discover their strengths and align them with meaningful roles.

However, Linganand also observes a modern challenge: many people chase short-term rewards rather than long-term growth. While opportunities are provided, not everyone utilizes them. Still, his organization continues to stand by humanity and learning over ego and competition.

Slow and Steady with Strategy

Unlike startups obsessed with speed, Our Thoughts LSKJ believes slow and steady wins the race. The company invests time in analyzing client needs, experimenting with strategies, and refining outcomes until customer satisfaction is achieved.

Rather than delivering fast but shallow results, the focus is on thoughtful execution with lasting value.

Failing First to Win Forever

A unique leadership principle at Our Thoughts LSKJ is allowing employees to fail early. Linganand encourages initial mistakes so team members can learn strategies that lead to lifelong success.

He often says, fail first, succeed for life — because real learning comes from experience, not instruction alone.

Ideas Belong to Employees

At Our Thoughts LSKJ, innovation is decentralized. Employees are encouraged to bring their own ideas, regardless of role or department. With mentorship and guidance, those ideas are transformed into real outcomes.

Team members are also allowed to explore every side of the organizational coin — jumping across responsibilities, learning multiple roles, and becoming all-rounders instead of being confined to a single task.

This builds confidence, resilience, and leadership depth within the company.

The Philosophy Behind Our Thoughts LSKJ

Our Thoughts LSKJ is dedicated to the inspiration of freedom fighters and great leaders such as Swami Vivekananda, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekar Azad, Rani Lakshmibai, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Their discipline, focus, memory development, patriotism, and strategy form the emotional backbone of the organization.

The company recently completed three years on 1st February, and is still in its growth race — helping employees chase meaningful achievements and helping clients meet real-world requirements across domains.

One defining aspect of the company is its human approach. Our Thoughts LSKJ has never rejected interview candidates unfairly, nor fired employees after joining. Instead, the mission is to help people discover their purpose — a vision reflected in the company tagline: “Chasing Dreams.”

Employees are treated like board members, empowered to grow alongside the company, guided with mentorship, support, and continuous encouragement.

Vision for the Future

Linganand plans to expand Our Thoughts LSKJ across multiple sectors — Healthcare, Hospitality, E-Learning, E-Commerce, and beyond.

In healthcare, the aim is to help detect and focus on unidentified challenges.
In hospitality, to enhance customer attraction through service innovation.
In e-learning, to provide corporate technical and non-technical training with real job alignment.
In e-commerce, to empower villages and towns with digital facilities and opportunity access.

The company also follows a performance-based growth model, where employees earn based on capability, contribution, and client success, with monthly hikes and shared client value.

Inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, Bible, and Quran, Linganand believes people come to earth to learn, share, and perform good deeds. No one carries money beyond life — only memory, knowledge, and contribution remain.

A Founder Driven by Thought, Not Trend

Linganand S. Kotabagi is building more than an IT company. Through Our Thoughts LSKJ, he is shaping a culture where ideas matter, people grow, patience leads, and purpose wins over profit.

In a world chasing shortcuts, his journey reminds us that true entrepreneurship begins with thought, courage, and service — and that the most powerful startups are born not just from opportunity, but from values.
