Kamal didn’t follow a normal career path. After earning a Master’s degree from BIMTECH and an LLB, he chose business over a regular job.
He first started The Makeoverz, an online beauty service platform, and later ran other businesses like Insta Property. These experiences taught him how to make great offers, build strong teams, and adjust to market changes.

Now, he runs GK Studio, changing the way people experience beauty and wellness in India.
In 2022, Kamal noticed that hair treatments were in high demand but too expensive for most people. He decided to change that by offering affordable, high-quality services.
GK Studio has a clear pricing system — customers see the prices before starting, so there are no surprises. The salons are stylish and comfortable, giving a premium feel without the premium cost.
The first customer came from an online offer, and their happiness confirmed Kamal was on the right track.
Kamal faced big challenges in business, especially during India’s demonetisation and the COVID-19 pandemic. His earlier ventures suffered, and his team of 8 went down to zero.
But instead of giving up, Kamal started again, built trust, and grew his team. Today, GK Studio has 56 team members and aims to grow to 500, expanding across India and beyond.
Many people think salon services are only for high-income clients. Kamal disagrees — he believes everyone should look good and feel confident. At GK Studio, affordability and quality go hand in hand.
