Introduction
In the crowded world of startups, many stories begin with an idea, some with ambition, but only a few stand out because of persistence in the face of failure.
For Manthri Pragada Vamshi Krishna, founder of Pragadas Technologies Private Limited, entrepreneurship has been less about chasing trends and more about building solutions that truly matter.
From his early days as a NetSuite consultant to creating products that leverage artificial intelligence and automation, Vamshi’s journey is a testament to resilience, vision, and the courage to start again when things don’t go as planned.
Early Background & Inspiration

Vamshi didn’t set out to become an entrepreneur overnight. With over 11 years of experience in ERP and IT solutions, he had already worked with more than 70 clients during his consulting career.
This gave him a ringside view of how businesses struggled with fragmented systems, manual processes, and a lack of innovation in everyday tools.
Those observations sparked a realization: technology could do more than automate — it could transform how businesses functioned.
“I wanted to build solutions that not only solve operational challenges but also empower businesses to grow smarter with technology,” Vamshi recalls.
That desire to innovate, integrate, and transform became the foundation of Pragadas Technologies in 2017.
Problem Identified & Why This Startup
The early days of Pragadas were driven by one central question:
How can businesses use technology not just to record data, but to make better decisions?
That question gave birth to Pragva, the company’s flagship product. Unlike traditional HRMS platforms that stop at payroll or attendance, Pragva was designed as a workforce innovation platform.
It uses AI, automation, and predictive analytics to help organizations anticipate challenges, optimize resources, and create better employee experiences.
Instead of being just a system of record, Pragva positions itself as a system of intelligence — predicting attrition risks, identifying future skill gaps, and turning HR into a strategic growth driver.
“Our vision is simple yet ambitious — to transform HR from an administrative role into a growth engine,” says Vamshi.
Journey to the First Customer
Landing the first paying user is often the hardest milestone for any startup. For Vamshi, it came down to trust and timing.
Having already built strong relationships as a consultant, he leveraged his network.
“One of my past clients believed in my vision and became our first paying customer,” he shares.
That early validation was more than just revenue; it was proof that solving real pain points is the fastest way to create impact.
Products & Differentiation
While Pragva remains the centerpiece, Pragadas Technologies is not a single-product company. Each offering reflects the company’s ethos of solving everyday challenges with smart, scalable solutions:
- Pragva-HRMS: An AI-powered innovation platform that redefines workforce management.
- ScanNHelp: A smart lost & found assistance tool, designed to make everyday life easier.
- Pay4Skill: A skill-based hiring and training platform that bridges the gap between talent and opportunity.
- GlocalMart: A local e-commerce marketplace aimed at empowering small vendors (though this product later became a learning experience).
What sets Pragadas apart is not just technology — it’s the forward-looking approach.
Where others focus on operations, Vamshi and his team focus on intelligence and adaptability, helping organizations prepare for the future of work.
Challenges & Lessons Learned
No entrepreneurial journey is without hurdles. For Vamshi, one of the toughest lessons came through GlocalMart.
Despite identifying a market gap, he built the product without deep market research. By the time it launched, the pricing model wasn’t viable, and competition from well-funded companies was overwhelming.
“That experience taught me the importance of validating the problem and pricing model with beta customers before investing heavily,” he admits.
The failure of GlocalMart could have ended the journey. Instead, it became a turning point.
When developing Pragva, the team worked closely with beta customers — their feedback shaped the product into a more powerful, market-ready solution.
Defining Moments & Milestones
After the GlocalMart setback, Vamshi almost gave up — but resilience prevailed.
Within ten days, he and his team built a prototype for ScanNHelp and entered it into FounderFest, a competition with over 200 startups.
To their surprise, ScanNHelp emerged as the runner-up, earning ₹1 lakh in prize money and renewed confidence.
“That recognition gave me the belief to keep going,” says Vamshi.
From there, milestones followed:
- Winning the Wonderful Product Guru Award by FRRC
- Seeing ScanNHelp make a real difference in people’s lives
- Building momentum around Pragva, now positioned to redefine the HR tech space
Each achievement reinforced that setbacks are not endpoints — they are stepping stones.
Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, Vamshi envisions Pragadas Technologies as a global force in HR innovation.
In the next five years, he sees Pragva emerging as a leader — helping organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions and transforming HR into a strategic growth driver.
The ultimate goal is to create a human-centric, intelligent, and adaptive platform that empowers organizations globally.
Alongside Pragva, the company will continue experimenting with new products, staying true to its mission of building practical, scalable, and impactful solutions.
Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

If there’s one piece of advice Vamshi offers, it’s to be hands-on.
“Always be the first person to step in for everything — whether it’s selling, building, or pitching,” he emphasizes.
He also stresses resilience. Failures will happen, but learning quickly and not repeating mistakes is key.
“Success doesn’t come overnight,” he says. “Persistence and resilience make all the difference.”
Conclusion
From the outside, Pragadas Technologies may look like just another tech startup. But beneath the surface lies a story of grit, learning, and innovation.
For Vamshi, entrepreneurship has been about finding meaning in setbacks, listening to customers, and building technology that empowers rather than just operates.
As Pragva takes shape on the global stage, it stands as proof that true innovation is born not just from ideas — but from resilience, humility, and the courage to keep moving forward.
