Tata Motors (up 4.11%), Balkrishna Industries (up 3.63%), TIINDIA (up 1.98%), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.95%), and Bajaj Auto (up 1.93%) were the biggest gainers in the pack at the conclusion of the day.
The Nifty Auto index ended the week on a bullish note.
Tata Motors (up 4.11%), Balkrishna Industries (up 3.63%), TIINDIA (up 1.98%), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.95%), and Bajaj Auto (up 1.93%) were the biggest gainers in the pack at the conclusion of the day.
Exide Industries, on the other hand, was the day's biggest loss (down 0.97 percent).
The Nifty Auto index finished at 11703.5, up 1.83 percent.
The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index closed at 17339.85, up 237.9 points, while the BSE Sensex closed at 58014.17, up 813.94 points.
The Nifty index completed the day with 44 companies in the green and six in the red.
On the NSE, shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, JP Power, MMTC, and PNB were among the most actively traded.
In today's trading, shares of Jainam Ferro Alloys(I)Ltd., Bharat Road Net, Lotus Eye Hosp, MMTC, and Parin Furniture reached new 52-week highs, while AGS Transact Technologies Ltd., AB Cotspin India Ltd., Atal Realtech, Mahalaxmi Rub, and Dynamic Services & Security Ltd. reached new 52-week lows.
