In the bustling healthcare landscape of Jaipur, one hospital is quietly but powerfully reshaping the patient experience, especially for women. At the helm is Deepak Guupta, a seasoned healthcare executive with over 17 years of global leadership experience, and the managing member and CEO of Srishti Hospital.
“My mission,” Guupta says with conviction, “is to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable to all.”
But what sets his journey apart is a particular realization that catalyzed the formation of Srishti Hospital: while the market heavily leans into super-specialty care, the everyday needs of general patients, particularly women, are often overlooked.
This insight wasn’t theoretical. It came from years of first-hand experience across healthcare systems worldwide, where Guupta noticed a consistent pattern—patients falling through the cracks in fragmented care models.
“As a former biomedical engineer and executive, I saw how health systems can miss the forest for the trees,” he says. “Specialty services are important, but they’re only one part of the whole patient journey.”
A Life in Leadership, A Passion for Change
Guupta's career is built on transformation. With a background blending clinical insight and technological expertise, he has driven digital innovation, from scaling telehealth and modernizing electronic health records to integrating AI into clinical workflows. His leadership has improved outcomes while reducing operational costs.
Yet, the leading of Srishti Hospital marked a deeply personal inflection point.
“It wasn’t just about building another hospital,” he explains. “It was about correcting a structural imbalance. Women need consistent, compassionate care across every phase of life, not just during pregnancy or emergencies.”
Srishti Hospital opened its doors with a bold commitment — to be the first multi-specialty hospital in Jaipur focused specifically on women’s health across all life stages, from adolescence to menopause and beyond.
Building a Hospital That Breaks the Mold
Launching a women-centric hospital in a market saturated with super-specialty giants was no small feat.
“There was skepticism,” Guupta admits. “People initially assumed we were just another maternity hospital. Communicating our broader vision took time.”
That broader vision encompassed an expansive range of services under one roof — including general medicine, surgery, plastic surgery, ICUs and NICUs, gastroenterology, and more — all designed with women’s unique health needs in mind.
“It was about trust. From the very first visit, we wanted patients to feel understood and cared for, not just treated,” he says.
Strategic marketing and community engagement efforts helped turn the tide. As word spread, the hospital quickly earned its reputation as a comprehensive, reliable destination for women’s health.
One of the early turning points came just six months into operations: NABH accreditation.
“Achieving empanelment with the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers within half a year was huge,” Guupta shares. “It validated our commitment to quality and patient safety.”
Simultaneously, Srishti was empanelled with major Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), enabling cashless treatment options and widening access. These moves didn’t just build credibility — they laid the foundation for sustainable growth.

A Different Kind of Care Model
What makes Srishti truly stand out is its “all under one roof” philosophy. Instead of forcing patients to navigate a maze of providers, the hospital offers a cohesive care journey. This approach has proven especially valuable in a country where many women delay or skip care due to systemic obstacles or social stigma.
“From a teenage girl facing hormonal issues to an elderly woman needing chronic disease management, we’ve designed Srishti to walk with them every step of the way,” Guupta explains. “That’s the real differentiator.”
In practice, this model has translated into higher patient satisfaction and loyalty. It’s also strengthened doctor-patient relationships, a critical, often underrated aspect of effective treatment.
Lessons from the Frontlines of Healthcare Entrepreneurship
Like any leader journey, Guupta’s path hasn’t been without hurdles.
“Raising awareness about our women-first model, training staff to embody patient-centric care, and maintaining affordability, all while scaling operations, required tightrope balancing,” he recalls.
His advice for other healthcare entrepreneurs:
“Be clear about the problem you’re solving. Don’t chase trends, chase impact.”
He also emphasizes the importance of resilience and stakeholder alignment.
“You need a team that buys into the mission, not just the job. And you need to align investors, partners, and policymakers around the vision.”
Another key insight — communication is everything.
“Healthcare is deeply personal. People won’t just trust your credentials, they need to feel your conviction

The Road Ahead: Scaling with Purpose
With solid early traction and operational maturity, Guupta is now setting his sights higher.
“In the next five years, we aim to become a trusted healthcare home across multiple districts and states,” he says. “We want to be synonymous with compassionate, world-class care for women, regionally and eventually, internationally.”
Expansion plans include:
- Replicating the Srishti model in underserved areas
- Developing telemedicine capabilities
- Deepening collaborations with medical research bodies
But growth, he insists, won’t come at the cost of quality.
“Our focus remains on maintaining the same level of trust, transparency, and tailored care that made patients choose us in the first place.”
Inspiring the Next Wave of Changemakers
Guupta’s story is a potent reminder that innovation doesn’t always look like the next app or device. Sometimes, it’s about rethinking the system from the inside out.
To aspiring entrepreneurs, especially in healthcare, his message is both practical and profound:
“Don’t wait for perfect conditions. Start where you are, with what you have, but start with heart. The system needs bold, empathetic voices now more than ever.”
As Srishti Hospital continues to grow, so does its impact — not just through numbers or revenue, but in the lives of the women who walk through its doors and leave feeling heard, cared for, and healed.
