IIT Hyderabad to launch Semiconductor Startup Incubation and Acceleration Program.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad will dispatch the 'Semiconductor Startup Incubation and Acceleration Program' in a joint effort with NXP Semiconductors, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, and Fabless Chip Design Incubator (FabCI). The program is pointed toward hatching up to five new businesses for a time of two years. New companies that principally centre around semiconductor chip plan, IP configuration, plan administrations with an IP centre and chip configuration device will want to take part in this program.
The program will give a stage for new companies to grandstand their items to the financial backer just as the business local area. Start-ups shortlisted for the centre program will get benefits gathering up to Rs 1 crore each year, per startup. They will be likewise given EDA Tool Access for plan and recreations, coaching access during plan and advancement stage, Selective IP Access for processor or interconnect viewpoints, Foundry/Packaging Access, Characterization Lab Access, Demo day permeability with NXP.
Prof. BS Murty, Director, IIT-Hyderabad, called the program "genuinely necessary to start a time of the semiconductor biological system in India".
