FieldAssist : A sales automation startup

Working in his own FMCG startup Param Health Foods for more than eight years, Paramdeep Singh observed that there was a gap between manufacturing and distribution in the FMCG space. He figured out that FMCG works on a complicated distribution network. They have to cover more than 30 outlets in a day and pass them to the distributors and the stockists to deliver orders. Before the product reaches the customers, they go through different levels and contact points. He observed that there was a massive scope of automation and optimization of the distribution process through the use of technology. If the salesman punches orders directly through a mobile app rather than manually, it would benefit the customers.

“I knew it was a daunting task to bring a change in the industry that has been operating traditionally since forever. I knew this would create a huge impact. I stepped into this transformation journey and never looked back,” says Paramdeep, who started ‘FieldAssist’, a B2B SaaS Sales automation platform.

That’s where he got the idea of ‘FieldAssist’. It was founded by its parent organization Flick2Know Technologies in 2014. Paramdeep launched the startup with a few IIT-Dhanbad graduates, Apurv Gupta, Divir Tiwari, Nikhil Patwari, and Peeyush Jain. The motto of the startup is to solve the business challenges of Indian consumer goods companies by giving them and real-time business intelligence of sales teams, product, and market performance leading to the execution of decisions in the field and making sales teams smarter.

The startup began with only one product and now they have expanded. They now work as an end-to-end sales automation platform with products like DMS, retailer app, BI tools, SFA, etc. the startup ‘FieldAssist’ has more than 400 clients and more than 50,000 users presently. This makes Paramdeep proud and he says that his team, with its mobile approach, has pioneered sales automation in India.
