Although these regional dishes have cultural and personal significance, they are not widely available beyond the realm of their origin.  Peeplstore solves access to Pan-Indian regional cuisine by building a national regional cuisine platform.

Motivation

The food and beverage market is thriving with players in the areas of healthy snacks, and gourmet food, but many aren’t focusing on local foods that are still dominated by traditional disorganized businesses. The core team identifies a huge gap in the market and decides to leave their cushy jobs to get into businesses they hadn't dipped their fingers into before. The team decides to disrupt the food space of regional cuisines by organizing it into one-stop solution of exotic Indian food by providing authenticity, quality, and convenience to the Indian consumer to make Peeplstore relevant pan-India.

Life Experiences

Peeplstore.com is the brainchild of three IIT Kharagpur graduates and a NITIE Mumbai grad, Yuvraj, Ayush, Kunal, and Sashil who have created a curated platform for India’s best regional food. Yuvraj was working in ITC Limited as an Operations Manager in a manufacturing unit post his graduation. At the same time, Ayush was working as a project manager in headquarters of ITC Limited and Kunal has worked in the analytics firm Fractal Analytics post his college days. Sashil has been involved closely in working with brands such as Fiama and Engage at ITC Limited.

All orders are delivered and our prices are market-competitive thus delivering product value for money just in time.

Launched in October 2021, currently, the website is offering tastes of Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Our vision is to make Peeplstore a one-stop website for regional food and to bring the originals right at your doorsteps.

The team

We are a team of 4 core team members and 7 interns. At present, we are based out of Kolkata. Being an early-stage startup – each of us work with a very high sense of ownership and team spirit. We strongly believe in the phrase – “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with a team”

Future Goals

We want to build a global D2C brand of famous regionally famous food products of India. We aim to make the ecosystem of regionally famous Indian Snacks, Sweets, Groceries and Kitchen products. We strongly believe these products already have the ingredients and taste which would be admired greatly. If given the right scale of India and beyond, these products would really shine and get a recognition they deserve.
